LYLA BEDA LLOYD, age 93, of Blue Earth formerly of Ledyard, IA, died Saturday, December 13, 2014, at St. Lukes Lutheran Care Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at Bethany Evangelical & Reformed Church in Ledyard, with Rev. Tim Diehl officiating. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery, Ledyard, Iowa. Visitation time will be from 4:30pm 7:00pm Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at the church 310 Division Street in Ledyard, IA, and 1 hour before the service at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comShe was born October 14, 1921, at Lotts Creek, IA, the daughter of Ralph and Beda (Brattlund) Priebe. She graduated from Ledyard High School in 1939. She was united in marriage to Edward (Bud) Lloyd January 27, 1945. Edward died on December 28, 1992. Together they farmed their first 25 years of marriage until they moved into Ledyard, where they owned and operated Bud''s Farm Service.Lyla loved playing cards with everyone. She loved playing Bingo with her special friend, Lillian Johnson. She was active in her church and also in the Senior Citizen activities in Ledyard. Lyla loved her family and was an inspiration to everyone.She is survived by her son, Marlin (Judi) Lloyd of Mankato, son, Craig (Rhonda) Lloyd of Elmore, daughter, Joanne (Greg) Nielsen of Plymouth, daughter, Denise (Doug) Gjerde of Mankato, son, Steve (Lori) Lloyd of Mankato, 14 Grandchildren, and 27 Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, parents Beda and Ralph Priebe, brothers, Gordon and Lyle (her twin brother), sisters Lornetta, Eunice, and Ruthe.Lyla wants to be remembered as someone who tried to get along with everyone and that she held no hard feelings toward anyone.
