Virginia "Ginny" Lee Evan

VIRGINIA "GINNY" LEE EVAN, age 73, of Blue Earth, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014, at her home. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 2:00 PM, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, with Rev. Russ Jacobsen officiating. Interment will be a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 12:00pm until the service time, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comShe was born April 15, 1941, at Fairmont, MN, the daughter of Lloyd and Cecelia (Ziemer) Wolter. She attended Granada High School. She married George Evan May 12, 1956 together they lived in the Blue Earth area. After marriage she lived in Blue Earth until 1984 when she moved to Rochester to complete her education at Rochester Community College. After graduation she was a licensed Drug and Alcohol counselor at Zumbro Valley Mental Health Center in Rochester. She worked there for over 20 years before retiring and moving back to Blue Earth to be closer to family. She enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, going to casinos, taking care and spoiling her cat "Taz", and most of all enjoying her family, especially hearing from her grandchildren.She is survived by her son, Rick (Cheri) Evan of Beaver Creek, OR, son, Roni Evan of Blue Earth, daughter, Robin (Jamie) Smith of Blue Earth, daughter, Roxanne (David) Robertson of Brooksville, daughter, Rayne (Randy) Hanevik of Blue Earth, sister, Marlys (Ken) Breen of Blue Earth, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bev Cramer, grandsons Jamis Smith and Justin Evan, and forever family friend Sue Frette.
