Dale A. Zimmerman, age 76, of Elmore, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at his home.Private Family memorial services will be held. Public visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Shiloh Lutheran Church in Elmore. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comDale was born March 28, 1936, in Mapleton, MN,, the son of Rolla and Alice (Klint) Zimmerman. He was raised and educated in the Mapleton area. He served in the U.S. Navy in the early 1950''s and returned home to Mapleton where he worked as a mechanic in the Ford dealership. He was married to DuAnn C. Dalluge on April 27, 1963 in Good Thunder, MN. Dale owned the DX Oil Station in Mapleton for several years before moving to Durand, WI where he sold storage silos. The couple later moved to Elmore where Dale had a tire sales route with Bauer Built Tires. He retired in 2001. Dale enjoyed occasional trips to a casino and his annual family trips to Leech Lake where he was a great fisherman.Dale is survived by his wife, DuAnn Zimmerman of Elmore, his daughter, Carol (Peder) Eskelson of Bloomington, his daughter, Coleen Zimmerman of Medford, his son, Jason Zimmerman of Elmore, his mother, Alice Madsen of Winnebago, his brother, Larry Zimmerman of New Ulm, his sister, Maxine Durkee of Winnebago, his sister in law, Marge Zimmerman of Owatonna, his sister in law, Onalee (Charles) Slowinski of Mapleton and his mother in law, Iona Dalluge of Mapleton.Dale was preceded in death by his father, Rolla, son, Brian in 2000, brother, James and father-in-law, Carl Dalluge.
