Donald Joseph Beach

Donald "Don" Joseph Beach, age 64, of Blue Earth, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at United Hospital.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Dr. Mark Wilms officiating. Visitation time will be from 5:00 7:00pm Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth, and one hour before at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comHe was born February 7, 1949, at Rochester, MN, the son of Robert & Alice (Tubs) Beach. He graduated from Stewartville High School. On July 31, 1971 in Stewartville, MN he married Linda L. Staab. In 1976 he received his Masters from Augsburg College and a Specialist Degree from the University of Wisconsin Superior in 1979. Don worked as a coach, teacher, and principal for 3 different school districts, Hinkley, Ostander, and Blue Earth. He loved coaching football, basketball, baseball, traveling extensively from France, Italy, Germany, Scotland, England, all but four states spending the winters in Florida. Don traveled to all but one Major League Baseball Diamond, to watch his beloved Twins.He is survived by his spouse, Linda Beach of Blue Earth, his daughter, Robyn Beach Olson of Blue Earth, his daughter, Rebeeca Beach of Chicago, his daughter, Leah Beach of Chicago, his son, Thompson Beach of St. Paul, his sister, Mary Bittner of Fall Creek, WI, his brother, Robert Beach of New Albany, OH, his brother, George Beach of Stewartville, his grandson, Jacob Olson of Blue Earth, his granddaughter, Lily Olson of Blue Earth.He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Alice.
