Trudy A. Harmon, aged 67 Blue Earth MN passes away peacefully on September 1, 2013 at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, Sept 5, 2013 at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting family with the arrangements. Web condolences may be left at www.pattonfh.com. Trudy was born January 13, 1946 to Roger W and Helen J (Jamieson) Duncan in Monterey California. She grew up in Blue Earth, MN and graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1964. During the 1960''s Trudy danced with a Scottish Dancing group from Mapleton, MN and participated in multiple area events. Trudy attended X-ray school at Hennepin County Hospital in Minneapolis and lived in Fridley MN prior to moving to Germany. Trudy returned to the U.S.A. and in 1971 took a position at 3M in Fairmont MN which she held for 13 years and then later went to work for Dorendorf Jewelry in Blue Earth, MN. In 1988 on January 9th Trudy married Dean Harmon in their home town of Blue Earth, MN. They owned and operated Roy Deans Steak House where she had the pleasure of nightly greetings to friends and families from the Blue Earth area. Trudy was a ruling elder and directed the choir at First Presbyterian Church and later became a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by her brother, Steve Duncan, of Lake City, FL, sister, Pamela Patton, of Jacksonville, FL, son, Jason Nyberg, his wife, Sarah (Reichelt) Nyberg, granddaughter Avia Grace Nyberg(3) of Boise Idaho, granddaughters Veronika Nyberg(22), Sydney Nyberg(20) of Winter Park, Florida, neice, Sarah Thormodson-Taylor, greatneice, Bailey Rose Taylor of Branford, FL and Dean''s son Dean Harmon Jr and family, of Sykesville, MD. Trudy was preceded in death by her parents Roger Duncan, Arvin and Helen Stenehjem, her beloved husband Dean Harmon, her son Tyler Nyberg and infant grandson of Tyler, Christopher Nyberg . Trudy will be remembered most for her loving nature and infectious smile. Please join the family and friends in celebrating the life that touched so many.
