Regina "Jean" Eischen, age 88, of Blue Earth died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Fairmont. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Patton Funeral Home, 400 E. 14th Street, Blue Earth, with Father Peter Klein officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comJean was born on November 3, 1925 in Silverlake Township, MN the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Mosloski) Nowak. She was raised in East Chain where she attended country schools. She was married to Laurence J. "Toby" Eischen on February 15, 1944 in East Chain. The couple farmed south of Guckeen before moving into Guckeen in 1969 where they built Toby''s Bar and Grill. They operated the bar until selling in the early 1980''s. In 1984 Jean started working at the Super 8 Motel in Blue Earth in the laundry services department. She retired from Super 8 in 2012. Jean was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Guckeen. She enjoyed dancing, polka music and being with her family. Jean is survived by her son Jim (Janiece) Eischen of Blue Earth, daughter, Mary (Jon) Gregory of Guckeen, daughter, Judy (Fred) Dilger of Rosmount, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1995, sister, Clara Wolff and brother, Ray Nowak.
