MARCELLA JANE ECKHART, age 74, of Blue Earth, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Parker Oaks after a long battle with cirrhosis of the liver.A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Emerald Township, with Rev. She married Darrel Eckhardt on September 20, 1957. Marcella enjoyed spending time with her family and her many friends, traveling, playing cards, going to a casino, and life in general. She was a good friend to all who knew her, always willing to help. She was always ready to go when anyone asked.She is survived by her son Skip & Sherry Eckhardt of Ackley, Ia, daughter, Becky & Donald Lauritsen of Evansdale, her daughter, Vickie Sabin of Rake, her daughter, Debbie & Ronald Newell of Farmington, her sister, Lucille Coulter of Plainview, her sister, Venice Grindle of Seattle, her sister-in-law, Joyce & Lloyd Gaylord of Blue Earth; sister-in-law Marva Russell of Blue Earth; 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Darrel, sister Florence Tagatz, and brother Robert Russell.Memorials can be directed to Skip Eckhardt, box 211, Ackley, IA 50601
