Arnold Frederick Prescher, age 91, of Delavan, died February 26, 2012, at St. Lukes Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM, at Immanuel Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in Emerald township with Rev. Wes Hafner officiating. Burial will take place in the Church Cemetery. Visitation time will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Friday at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth, and one hour prior to services at the church. He attended eight years at District #56 country school and was a 1938 graduate of Delavan High School. After graduation he attended Farm School and Aircraft Building at Minneapolis. He married Everald Winnifred Wood of Delavan on December 25, 1941 at Yuma, AZ. They lived in San Diego, CA 1 years while he was working at Consolidated Aircraft, before returning to Delavan to begin farming. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and held many offices and sang in the choir for about 40 years. He served as Chairman of the Delavan School board and was a director of the Farmer''s State Bank of Delavan. Along with farming, he did trucking for Stockley-VanCamp and custom corn shelling. He was a school bus driver and a substitute mail carrier. He and Everald spent several years down south in the winter months. His greatest love''s were fishing and spending time with his family.Arnold is survived by his daughters: Lynn Cole of Burnsville, Cheryl (Kenneth) Claude of Delavan and son Paul (Ruth) Prescher of Delavan; 7 grandchildren: 11 great grandchildren; two brothers: Roland of Blue Earth and Ralph of Delavan and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Haase of Blue Earth.He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Everald.
