Marvin William Bell 91 of Blue Earth passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at St. Luke Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 10:00 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Dr. Mark Wilms officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services at the church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comMarvin was born September 23, 1920 in Jo Daviess Township the son of Walter & Rose (Dau) Bell. He was raised in Faribault County, Baptized and confirmed in The St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. He lived in Waterloo, Iowa and later Minneapolis for a short time before returning to Blue Earth in the early 1940s. He was married to Myrl Jacobson July 16, 1940. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #89, and V.F.W. Post #4580. On July 13, 1944 he entered the United States Army serving in Scotland, England, France and Germany.Marvin was a cross country driver hauling live stock for Bob Halverson Trucking and Arends Sale yard. He drove through every state but Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire, retiring in 2000. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Marvin William Bell is survived by his wife, Myrl Bell of Blue Earth, his daughter, Sandra and Wendell Schock of Rapid City, S.D., his son, Larry and Linda Bell of Ceylon, his brother, Homer and Evelyn Bell of Blue Earth, his sister, Anita (Harold) Ubben of Lakota, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by her parents, brother-Eugene Bell his wife Lois.
