Naomi Karge, age 98, of Blue Earth, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, with Rev. Karl Rydholm officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth, Minnesota. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services at St. Luke''s. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comNaomi was born February 19, 1914, in Hand County, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Ada (Troyer) Fisher. She was raised and educated in South Dakota and was married to Harry E. Karge on October 3, 1931 in Mitchell, SD. The couple came to the Elmore area in 1942 and soon moved to rural Blue Earth. Naomi was a longtime member of Immanuel Methodist Church before retiring to Blue Earth in 1965. She began working at the Blue Earth Hospital in cleaning department and was soon promoted to hospital cook, where she remained for 28 years. Naomi enjoyed quilting, embroidery, vegetable gardening and canning. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and time spent with grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.Naomi is survived by her son, Arnold (Marvis) Karge of Frost, her daughter, Phyllis Springis of Blaine, her , 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1992, 2 brothers and 7 sisters.
