KAREN BLEESS, age 66, of Delavan, died Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Albert Lea.Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, with Father Leo Koppala officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Delavan. Visitation time will be from 4:00pm until 7:00pm Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth, and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comShe was born August 11, 1945, at Wells, MN, the daughter of Albert & Marie (Brandt) Schulz. She graduated from Wells High School in 1963. On June 11, 1964 she married Fritz N. Bleess at Easton in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Together they raised 3 children Vince, Clay, and Heather.Karen was an avid member of the Red Hat Society, enjoyed collecting coffee cups, dolls, reading, planting and arranging flowers, and going on many trips with her high school classmates. Her grandchildren were a very special part of her life, and she enjoyed spending all the time she could with them. She is survived by her husband, Fritz Bleess of Delavan, her son, Vince(Martha) Bleess of Delavan, her daughter, Heather Hitchler of East Troy, her son, Clay Bleess of New Ulm, her sister, Lois(Jim) Bushlack of New Richland, her sister in law, Edie(Don) Zabel of Wells, her 7 grandchildren, 7 brothers-in-law, and 8 sisters-in-law.She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Norman Schulz, Bruce Schulz, sister-in-laws Karen Schulz, Jeanne Bleess, Mary Ann Bleess, and Geraldine Bleess.
