JERRY BRUCE ARNDT, age 66, of Blue Earth, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at United Hospital District.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 1:00 PM, at Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Arthur Keith officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, May 4, 2012, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth and one hour prior to the service at the church. He was educated in Huntley, Minnesota and Everett, Washington with two years of college at Mankato State. He enlisted in the United States Army, serving one year in Vietnam. Jerry then spent 32 years as a truck driver. He was the post commander of VFW post 4580 in Blue Earth, a member of the Honor Guard, life member of the American Legion post 89 in Blue Earth, charter member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4486, and proud member of the In Country Vietnam Motorcycle Club. He was always happiest spending time among his friends and family.He is survived by his spouse, Glenda Arndt of Blue Earth, his son, Rob (Liane) Erdle, his son, Rick Erdle and special friend Sandy, his son, Larry Arndt, his daughter, Jessica (Clint) Eastman, his brother, Max ( Dorothy ) Arndt, his sister, Caroline (Jim) Whitney of Blue Earth, his Sister, Connie (Hank) Cook, 5 grandchildren and numerous family and friendsHe was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Lillian, siblings Willis, Elaine, Allan, Jack, Murray, and, Clyde.
