HARLAN C. EHRICH, age 76, of Elmore, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at St. Mary''s Hospital, Rochester.Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at St. John''s Lutheran Church in Elmore, with Rev. Dale Kohrs officiating. Burial will be in St. John''s Lutheran Cemetery, Elmore. Visitation time will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth and one hour prior to services at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comHarlan was born March 19, 1936, in Rome Township, MN, the son of Walter D. and Ida L. (Hundt) Ehrich. He attended District 66 country school, St. John''s Lutheran School and was a 1954 graduate of Elmore High School. He helped his family farm after graduation and soon entered the U.S. Army. Following his discharge he returned to Elmore where he has farmed for many years. He grew many crops and tended to all varieties of livestock through the years. He was a longtime member of St. John''s Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed and also served as usher for many years. Harlan enjoyed flower gardening, miniature golf and traveling- especially to Hawaii and Canada.Harlan is survived by his brother, Eldon (Janice) Ehrich of Elmore, sister, Irma Franke of Blue Earth, his brother, Arnold (Sharon) Ehrich of Corwith, Iowa, his brother, Willard (Laurie) Ehrich of Owatonna, his brother, Ivan (Elaine) Ehrich of Waverly, Iowa and seventeen nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother- Melvin and brother-in-law, Harland Franke.
