MARK EDWARD BUTLER, age 67, of Fairmont formerly of Elmore, died Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Rem Cedar Park in Fairmont.Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012, at 01:00 PM, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore, with Rev. Dale Kohrs officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Elmore, Minnesota. Visitation time will be 1 hour before the service at the church. Mark lived with his Hammer School and Cedar Wood friends until moving to Fairmont, MN in 1993. He lived his last years with roommates Steve Sackett, Tom Hinrichs, and Uriah Pierce at REM Cedar Park in Fairmont. Mark loved spending time with his family. He loved the MN Twins and looked forward to his annual trips to TWINS Spring Training Camp in Florida. Mark was involved in Special Olympics as a young adult and played on a softball team in Fairmont with his housemates. He enjoyed summer camp with housemates and friends, bowling league on Friday nights, Country Music Dancing, Polka Dancing, and Singing; Lawrence Welk and The Bandwagon were among his favorites. Mark was employed at STEP INC. for 18 years.He is survived by his sister, Jane (Reese) Riddiough of Santa Maria, CA, his step mother, Clara Butler of Blue Earth and his nephews Todd Riddiough of Woodland, CA & Eric Riddiough of Los Osos, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
