Clemens Harris Legried, age 86 of Blue Earth, formerly of Frost, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at United Lutheran Church in Frost with Rev. Arna Halbakken and Rev. Karl Rydholm officiating. Burial will follow in United Lutheran Cemetery in Frost. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time at the church on Saturday. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Clemens Harris Legried was born to Oscar and Agnes (Herrem) Legried on January 8, 1926 in Winnebago County, Rake, Iowa. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Rake, Iowa and confirmed at Bricelyn Lutheran Church. Clemens served in the U.S. Army. After his discharge he did construction work. He was married to Marian Helseth on June 23, 1956 and lived in Albert Lean for a while then moved back to the Frost area. Clemens worked for the Faribault Co. Highway Department for 21 years, retiring in 1987. Clemens was active at United Lutheran Church for many years. Clemens is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Warren) Long of Blue Earth, sister, Levine Bennett of Harrison, Michigan, brother, Omer (Vivian) Legreid of Jefferson City, Missouri, half-brother, Ken Legried of Parker, Colorado, three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife Marian in 1998, two sons, Roger and Mark Legried, sister, Bonna Woodwick and a brother, Darrell Legried.
