WILBUR E. KROSCH, age 93, of Blue Earth, died Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Parker Oaks. Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 03, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, with Rev. Arno Melz officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew''s Cemetery in Iowa. Visitation time will be 2 hours before the service, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comWilbur was born in Kossuth County, IA on May 2, 1919 to Albert and Anna ( Trasamar) Krosch. He attended the grade school which his father, Charles and Wyla also attended. Wilbur married Jean Florence Satre July 9, 1941. They operated the store in Steven''s Iowa for a few years. Wilbur joined the Navy in January of 1943. He worked as water tender. He was stationed in Hawaii, Marshall Island and the Palau Philippines. He laughed when the water tender went in the ocean, but not when they pulled it out of the ocean and the Seabees had to clean it up. Wilbur was discharged from the Seabees in 1945 and then joined Jean in CA. They came back and farmed for 5 years and later returned to California. Upon retiring they made their home in Colorado Springs, CO. They spent their time enjoying their grandchildren & traveling. To this marriage 2 children were born. Charles Edward (Juanita) of Santa Monica, Ca. and Wyla (Lowell) Bouchard of Colorado Springs, Co. they have 3 sons.He is survived by spouse, Jean Krosch of Blue Earth, daughter, Wyla (Lowell) Bouchard of Colorado Springs, 3 grandsons, 1 great-grandson, daughter-in-law, Juanita Krosch of Santa Monica, CA, sister, Lillian Brass of Garner, IA, sister-in-law, Lorraine Krosch of Pillager, MN, many nieces, nephews and friends.He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Krosch, parents, Albert & Anna Krosch, brother, Virgil Krosch.
