Harry J. Curran, age 83, of Blue Earth, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at River of Life Worship Center in Blue Earth, with Rev. John Goodman & Rev. Reid Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Clinton Township, MN. Visitation time will be from 9:30 AM Monday until service time at the church. He graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1946 and then attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He also attended Kings College in Delaware before his marriage to Margaret E. Lindsay on December 18, 1949 in Lime Springs, Iowa. Harry was an ordained minister in the Baptist Faith in the 1950''s where he served churches. He was later ordained in the Assembly of God Church and returned to Minnesota in the early 1970''s, where he served congregations in Mankato, Shakopee and Princeton, MN before retiring in 1990. Harry enjoyed playing games with family and friends, good jokes and stories.Harry is survived by his wife, Margaret Curran of Blue Earth, his sons: Lon (Pam) Curran of Orland Park, Illinois, Darnell (Tina) Curran of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, Harry Jay (Brenda) Curran of Rosemount, Dana (Joy) Curran of Minnetonka, daughters: LaVonne (Larry) Handschuh of Keller, Texas, Lynette (Fred) Lane of Burleson, Texas, Shelly (Charles) Duncan of Ft. Worth, Texas, his brother, Raymond Curran of Waukegan, Illinois, his sisters: Ruby Thompson of Bend, Oregon, Mary Enderson of California, Sally Smith of Blue Earth, Barbara Moore of Iowa, Mable Torres of Iowa, 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, 4 brothers and 3 great grandchildren.
