Clifford Fuchs

Clifford E. Fuchs, age 94, of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011, at 2:30 PM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Wesley Hafner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street, in Blue Earth and one hour prior to services at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comCliff was born August 12, 1916, in Faribault Co., MN, the son of Otto and Emiline "Lena" (Rosenau) Fuchs. He attended country schools in the area and farmed on his family farm. He was married to Lucille Dollen on March 5, 1941 in Blue Earth. Following her death in 1974 he was later married to Gertrude (Hunt) Friesner on June 24, 1976 in Estherville, Iowa. Cliff farmed for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing & hunting pheasant, ducks and fox. He also enjoyed frequent visits to the Senior Center where he liked to play cards and visit with friends. Cliff is survived by his son, Jon Fuchs and special friend Roberta Rippentrop of Blue Earth, son, Randy (Joyce) Fuchs of Blue Earth, daughter, Sharyl Hoffman and special friend Randy Ficken of Blue Earth, his step son, Virgil (Ann) Friesner of Estherville, Iowa, his step daughter, Marlene (Tom) Rayburn of Ames, Iowa, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, a sister, Viola Goltz, and step-children: Marvel Anderson, Willard Friesner and John Friesner.
