JAMES E. ANDERSON, age 86, of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at United Hospital, Blue Earth.Private Family Funeral services will be held, with Pastor David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Public visitation time will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street, in Blue Earth. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comHe was born April 8, 1925, at Oak Park, MN, the son of Oscar and Lily (Salmon) Anderson. He was raised and educated in the Milaca area where he attended schools. He was married to Marjorie "Marge" Bobo on July 25, 1948 in Minneapolis. The couple came to Blue Earth in 1951 where Jim became a mechanic with HiWay Ford. He later owned and operated Anderson Repair. He was one of those mechanics that could fix anything. He enjoyed singing in church choir, bowling, woodworking, fixing things and spending time with his family, especially his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.Jim is survived by his wife, Marge Anderson of Blue Earth, his daughter, Cheryl (Leo) LaShomb of Brooklyn Center, his son, Duane Anderson and special friend Murial Burkhart of Blue Earth, his daughter, Nancy Cratsley of Blue Earth, his son, Don (Janie) Anderson of Blue Earth, his son, Randy (Amy) Anderson of Champlin, his son, Mark (Susan) Anderson of McMinnville, Oregon, his son, David (Ivy) Anderson of Grandview, Missouri, his son, Paul Anderson of Blue Earth, his daughter, Karen (Phillip) Lane of Eagle River, Alaska, his son, James (Ann) Anderson of Blue Earth, 39 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren .He was preceded in death by his parents, son-Mitch Anderson in 2001, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
