Myrtle Gullord

Myrtle Nadia Gullord, age 96 of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 6, 2011 at South Blue Earth Lutheran Cemetery, rural Frost. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com.Myrtle Nadia Gullord was born on April 7, 1915 in Jo Daviess township to Julius and Bertha (Miller) Welk. She graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1933. Myrtle worked at the Blue Earth Locker where she met her future husband. In 1958 she married Fahye R. Gullord. Myrtle and Fahye owned and operated Gullord''s Grocery store in Frost. After Fahye passed away in 1966, Myrtle moved back to Blue Earth and worked at the Blue Earth Hospital in the Dietary department until she retired in 1983. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, 4 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her nieces & nephews: Carolyn Kennedy, Marilyn Galbraith, Sandi Randle, Richard Owens and Robert Owens.
