Rick Kriewall

Rick Kriewall, age 49, of Blue Earth, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 2, 2011 at United Hospital in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangement. The family requests expressions of sympathy should take the form of memorial donations to the Rick Kriewall memorial fund, in care of Mary Kriewall. Rick was born September 10, 1961 in Blue Earth to Roger and Mary (Rippel) Kriewall. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. Rick graduated from Blue Earth High School in1980 where he established an outstanding record in wrestling. Wrestling was his life. He attended the University of Minnesota until knee surgery ended his wrestling career. He graduated from Mankato State University with two degrees: one in management and one in marketing. Rick worked in the business world with several well established companies. He resided in Mankato until the illness and death of his father when he moved to the Bass Lake Area. Rick''s passion in life has always been wrestling, starting in the fourth grade with AAU and competing in several national tournaments. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Roger "Coon" Kriewall.He is survived by his mother, Mary Kriewall of Winnebago, brother, Todd (Ann) Kriewall of Albert Lea and their children, Kyle, Karli & Kohl, sister, Sherry (Kurt) Able of Blue Earth and their children David (Nicollet), Danielle (Travis) Olson, & Derek Able, sister, Gina (John) Teems-Abbott of Grand Rapids and their daughter, Marisa Teems. Also surviving are two grandnieces, Hallie Able and Reese Olson Rick was dearly loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him. We Love You Rick.
