Gary Kastner

Gary R. Kastner, age 61, of Delavan, died Monday, June 6, 2011, at United Hospital in Blue Earth.Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at 1:30 PM, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, with Rev. Ronald Jobe officiating. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services at the church.Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comGary was born October 18, 1949, in Bricelyn , the son of Carl and Jeannine (Halvorson) Kastner . He was raised and educated in Bricelyn where he was a 1967 graduate of Bricelyn High School. After high school he moved to Wisconsin where he worked at the ordinance plant in Mauston, WI. He was later a high school custodian there before returning to Delavan in 1983. He was married to Nancy A. Adams on November 24, 1984 in Delavan. Gary worked as a custodian at the Delavan school and later worked for Scheid Electric and Wells Truss Co. He was currently working at Walmart in Blue Earth. He enjoyed hot rod cars and riding Harley motorcycles, but his greatest joy was playing with his grandchildren and having pizza night with them.Gary is survived by his wife, Nancy Kastner of Delavan, son Scott Adams of Brush Creek, mother, Jeannine Kitson of Rake, Iowa, brother, Greg (Tammy) Kastner of Rochester and his 4 grandsons.He was preceded in death by his father.
