Memorial services for Peter Wayne Larson will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Hilltop United Methodist Church, 108 S. Manitou Drive, Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.comPeter Wayne Larson was born October 13, 1959 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He died June 13, 2011 from complications of cancer. His early years and education were in the Shakopee and Jordan area. In his later years Mankato was his home. Pete was a bricklayer and joined the union, he was a skilled cement mason. Peter was a voracious reader from his young years. He enjoyed fishing, cars, antique auctions, good blues music, and loved Mankato''s bike trails. He especially enjoyed camping trips and grilling out with his brothers and sisters. "Up North" was a favorite spot. Pete was a sociable person with many friends. He was a good son, brother, and a loyal friend. We will miss our "Uncle Pete". Survived by his mother Arlene Larson, Brothers Joe Larson and his children Brandon (Maria) and Leah. Brothers Andy, Paul, and Daniel. Sisters Lisa (Jeff) Busch and their children Rachel (Adam) Seys and Jolene (Tom) Wall, Malinda (Scott) Meyer and their children Derek and RaeAnn, Tricia (Jeff) Bushlack and their children Sabrina, Bethany, Coleman, Maclan, and Gabrielle. Eleven nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews. Many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by his father, Larry D. Larson, and grandparents, Alfred and Jerry Voldahl and Thorald "Tork" and Joy Larson.
