Mrs. MARIAN ELIZABETH MOELLENHOFF, age 94, of Blue Earth, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth.Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, with Father Leo Koppala, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street, in Blue Earth and one hour prior to services at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial donations to Catholic Charities.Marian was born December 18, 1916, in Pilot Grove Township, MN, the daughter of William and Cecelia (Koppen) Evans. She was raised in the Elmore area where she was a 1933 graduate of Elmore High School. She took nurses training before working as a cook and housekeeper for several families in the Lake Minnetonka area. She was married to Matthew J. Moellenhoff on September 30, 1946 in Blue Earth. They lived in Browns Valley from 1946 until moving to the Evans Family farm in Pilot Grove Township in 1950. In 1968 they bought a farm South of Blue Earth, where Marian lived until moving to St. Luke''s in 2007. Marian was a member of the Friendly Stitchers, SS Peter and Paul CCW and Pilot Grove church circle. She was a great cook and avid gardener, canning hundreds of quarts of produce every year. Marian is survived by her son, Paul Moellenhoff of Minneapolis, her daughter, Alanna Diaz of Blaine, son, Allan (Ann) Moellenhoff of Minneapolis, her son, Arno (Naomi) Moellenhoff of Beaufort, South Carolina, her daughter, Mary Moellenhoff of Minneapolis, her daughter, Cheryl (Charles) Larsen of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, her son, Myles (Pamela) Moellenhoff of Inver Grove Heights, her sister, Elaine Goeke of Elmore, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren .She was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Matthew in 2005, an infant daughter, and infant sister, brothers, John and William Evans and sisters, Claire Clark and Margaret Stubbs.
