VIRGINIA OLSEN, age 91, of Frost, died Thursday, August 11, 2011, at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at United Lutheran Church in Frost, with Pastor Karl Rydholm officiating. Burial will be in United Lutheran Cemetery, Frost. Visitation time will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street, in Blue Earth and one hour prior to services at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com Memorial donations are preferred to the St. Luke''s Staff Perks program.Virginia was born August 26, 1919, at Pilot Grove, the daughter of Lewis and Ane (Egeland) Sebby. She was raised and educated in the Pilot Grove, Blue Earth and later Frost schools where she was part of the first graduating class of Frost High School in 1938. She was married to Arthur L. Olsen on March 23, 1940 at Emerald Church in Frost. She was a homemaker on the family farm west of Frost and was a teachers'' aide as well. She was a longtime member of United Lutheran Church, Frost where she was active with Ladies Aide and was a 4H Leader. She enjoyed painting pictures, painting glassware, sewing, gardening, entertaining and traveling. She traveled across the United States and made several trips to Norway and other European countries. She really enjoyed social events with good friends and family at any time through the years.Virginia is survived by her son, Steven (Rikke) Olsen of Owatonna, son, Dan (Deb) Olsen of Blue Earth, daughter, Kathryn Olsen of Tucson, Arizona, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1984 , sisters: Alma Ryg, Agnes Rosenau, Myrtle Martin, Evelyn Irey & Lenora Underdahl, and brothers: Emil, Archie & Edward Sebby.
