DONALD E. LARSON, age 93, of Blue Earth, died Monday, December 5, 2011, at the Presbyterian Home in Minnetonka. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at 2:00 PM, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, with Rev. Dr. Mark Wilms, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation will be one hour prior to services, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street, in Blue Earth. He was raised in the Bricelyn area where he attended schools. He served on the Civilian conservation Corps . He was married to Dorothea Simms on January 18, 1942 in Albert Lea, MN. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. In 1950 they moved to Brush Creek where he opened his own business, Larson''s Mobile Service . In 1968 they moved to Blue Earth. After retirement they enjoyed traveling the country in their mobile home. Don loved to play cards, chess, checkers and watch old western movies. He resided at New Life Manor in Blue Earth before moving to Minnetonka. Donald is survived by his son, Steven (Joan) Larson of Maple Grove, his daughter, Julie (Ray) Rhoda of Blue Earth, his son, Timothy (Linda) Larson of Chaska, his son, Randall Larson of Eden Prairie, his son, Douglas Larson of Glenwood , his son, Scott (Cindy) Larson of Oklahoma , his son, Jon Larson of Minnetonka, his son, Charles Larson of Fond Du Lac, Wi. , his son, Cory Larson of St. Paul, his son, Bradley Larson of Alabama, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife-Dorothea in 1990, three brothers and seven sisters.
