Howard Lee Huff, died January 2, 2009 at Tucson Medical Center, Tucson AZ. Howard was the eldest of 3 sons born to Kenneth and Mary (Rethswich) Huff. Born on March 1, 1920 in Carroll, NE. Kenneth and Mary Huff farmed in the Carroll and Pierce Nebraska area where Howard grew up. At the age of 18 Howard left home finding work for the CCC camps and as a farm hand eventually ending up in Faribault County. He married Allene Gesche on August 6, 1943. The couple spent their entire married life in the Faribault County area. Howard farmed most of his life then managed the Blue Earth Creamery until its closing. He then purchased his own truck, driving cross country and later driving for local companies. After 25 years as a truck driver he retired. Howard and Allene ran a Turquoise, Crystal and Gift shop out of their home in Blue Earth. His wife Allene died December 28, 1989. On June 12, 1993 he married Marion Hilliard. The couple moved to Tucson AZ in May of 2000. Howard, was known for his kindness and willingness to help friends and family whenever they needed him. His skills as a mechanic, lawn mower repairman, and chain saw sharpening were sought by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is survived by his current wife Marion. Son Larry (Marilyn) Huff of Tucson, AZ, daughter Rhonda (Herb) Kaiserman of Quincy, IL, and son Alan (Nancy) Huff of Blue Earth, MN. Grandchildren Kelly Huff, Mike Huff, Lauri Huff, and Michele Kaiserman, and 2 Great Grandsons Mikey Huff and Ryan Huff. His Brother Kenneth Huff Jr of Randolph, NE and Gordon Huff of Lubbock, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Rita, and wife Allene.
