Eugene Bell

Gene was born March 4, 1934, in Jo Daviess Township, MN the son of Walter and Rose (Dau) Bell. He was raised and educated in the Blue Earth and East Chain areas where he was a 1952 graduate of East Chain High School. He atteneded Dunwoody Institute before returning to the Blue Earth area. He was married to Lois M. Buckmeier on August 3, 1957 in Fairmont. Geno was a longtime mechanic at HiWay Ford, Klatt Motors and L & M Motors. He also owned and operated Bell Sanitation for several years. He retired in the late 1990s. Geno was a 28 year volunteer fireman with the Blue Earth Fire Department, was a longtime member of St Paul Lutheran Church and always enjoyed card games and fishing with family & friends. Gene is survived by his daughter, Debra (David) Mensing of Bloomington, his son, Terry (Carolyn) Bell of Bloomington, his son, Randy (Michelle) Bell of Frost, his brother, Marvin (Myrl) Bell of Blue Earth, his brother, Homer (Evelyne) Bell of Guckeen, his sister, Anita (Harold) Ubben of Lakota, Iowa and 8 grandchildren: Brianne, Kelsi, Kristine, Tony, Stephanie, Sinjin, Bodey and Skylee. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lois in 1999.
