Rosie was born in Cottonwood, MN, the daughter of Anton and Ronoug (Mittlestad) Lien. She was raised and educated in Cottonwood where she graduated from high school and then attended St. Cloud State University, earning her Associate Degree in education. She taught elementary school in Granite Falls where she met her future husband. She was married to John Plocker on December 24, 1950 in Minneota, Minnesota. While John was in the military Rosie continued to teach school in Jacksonville, Florida before the couple moved to Blue Earth in the mid 1950s. Rosie was a homemaker and was active at First Presbyterian Church where she assisted with release time and coordinated meals-on-wheels for many years. She has participated in numerous school and community activities through the years and was caretaker of her large yard and garden. She was a true dog lover as well! A. Rosella "Rosie" Plocker is survived by her husband, John Plocker of Blue Earth, her son, Tom (Becky) Plocker of Blue Earth, her grandchildren, Daniel & Steven Plocker, and her sister, Lila Roti of Fulda, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Rachel Knudson, and brothers, Arden and Victor Lien.
