Dorothy was born on March 6, 1910 at rural Blue Earth the daughter of Sam and Julia (Knutson) Olson. The family moved to rural Frost when she was ten and Dorothy was since a lifetime Frost resident. She was married to Henry C. Urness on February 15, 1947 in Frost. Dorothy was a homemaker and was able to live in her home to the age of 99. She was also a longtime member of United Lutheran Church where she was active in the quilting group, circle, ladies aide and taught Sunday school. Dorothy was a local babysitter to many, loved to play cards, grew many gardens and canned vegetables for years. She was famous for her baking and Dorothys Donuts. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Stan) Sweet of Aurora, Colorado, son, Ray (Cyndee) Urness of Frost, 3 step-grandchildren, 4 step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and special caregiver, Sara Kling. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry in 1967, two brothers, Orville and Curtis Olson and a nephew, Roger Olson.
