He was born September 11, 1926, at Middleriver, MN, the son of Ray and Jenny (Wing) Curtiss. He was raised in the rural Elmore and Pilot Grove areas where he attended country schools. He worked as a farm hand before entering the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II. He returned from the service and was soon married to Phyllis M. Schmidt on November 27, 1947 in Osakis, Minnesota. The couple lived at rural Blue Earth where Keith was a trucker, hauling produce for Green Giant and other companies. In 1950 he began Curtiss Trucking Co. and specialized in hauling livestock for many years. He retired in 2007. Keith was a member of Hope United Methodist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4580. He enjoyed fishing and time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also proud to have helped several others start their own trucking operations through the years. Keith is survived by his son, Michael (Pam) Curtiss of Blue Earth, his daughter, Karen Curtiss of Rochester, his daughter, Becky (Doug) Nagel of Blue Earth, his daughter, Christy (David) Sneen of Shakopee, 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, his sister, Winn (Bud) Kessel of Lamoni, Iowa, his sister, Eunyce (Dick) Renkly of Arlington, South Dakota, his brother, George (Hazel) Curtiss of Eyota, his sister, Jeanette (Bill) Hanson of Blue Earth, his brother In Law, Harold (Bea) Schmidt of Randall and sister-in-law, Arletta Curtiss of Mazzula, Montana. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife-Phyllis in 2006, a sister-Phyllis Baldwin, a brother-Dale Curtiss, a brother-in-law- Don Baldwin, and a great grandson-Zachary Spencer.
