June (Nelson) Hauskins

June 5, 1913 — September 15, 2010

June was born June 5, 1913, in Blue Earth, the daughter of Iver and Anna (Leither) Nelson. She was raised and educated in Blue Earth where she was a 1931 graduate of Blue Earth High School. She worked as a teller and secretary to the president of First Farmers National Bank in Blue Earth until moving to Worthington in 1946. She was the executive secretary to the superintendent of schools in Worthington for nearly 30 years. She retired in 1974 to get married to Maynard J. Hauskins on November 2, 1974 in Hawaii, at the age of 62. The couple enjoyed wintering in Chandler, Arizona and June continued to do so even after Maynards death in 1993. June was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, where her father was a founding member. June is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother- Oscar Nelson and two sisters, Margaret Nelson & Alma Anderson.
