Cleighton R. Johnson

Cleighton Reed Johnson was born on January 25, 1919 at Winnebago, MN the son of Emery Lloyd and Reseda (Held) Johnson. Cleighton''s family lived near Aitkin, MN and Faribault before settling near Huntley where he graduated from Huntley High School. On September 15, 1945 Cleighton married Agnes Pauline Olson in Blue Earth. The two resided with their children in rural Blue Earth where Cleighton was a lifelong farmer. The two wintered in Texas for 18 years where he enjoyed woodworking and hiking. Cleighton was very active in the Blue Earth community. Memorials are preferred to Alzheimer''s Research. Cleighton is survived by his son, Greg (Maggie) Johnson of Blue Earth; daughter, Paula (John) Barseth of Rochester; one grandson, Jay (Jennifer) Johnson of Blue Earth; and three great grandchildren, Caleb, Ethan and Aidan Johnson all of Blue Earth; brother, Ward (Marge) Johnson of Blue Earth; sister, Evelyn Sweet of Rochester. Cleighton was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Marshal Johnson and infant son, Paul Johnson.
