Helen Irene (Clark) Kliendl was born November 22, 1919, inEmerald Township of Faribault Co. to Annetta (Evans) Clark and William Clark. She attended country school until the 9th grade, then attended Blue Earth High School, graduating in 1936. At the age of 19 she went to Normal Teacher Training at Mankato State College. Helen taught county school for four years. On October 17, 1942 Helen married Harold Donald Kliendl in Fairmont, MN. She was a homemaker and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She has resided at St. Lukes Lutheran Care Center since 2000. Helen is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (David) Killion of Wells, three grandchildren: Daniel Killion of Blue Earth, Bridget (Tim) Warmka of Oakdale, Paul (Tracie) Killion of Inver Grove Heights, seven great grandchildren: Steven & Jonathan Killion, Katelyn, Johsua & Anna Warmka, and Kevin & Breann Killion. Also surviving are two sisters, Thelma Bromeland of Frost, Jean Rose of Rollingstone, MN and three sisters-in-law: Helen Nelson of Albert Lea, Deloris Hillmer of Fairmont and Phyllis Kliendl of Blue Earth. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2003, two sisters, Kathyrn Holmseth, an infant sister, two brothers, William and DeVere Clark, 4 sisters-in-law and 8 brothers-in-law.
