He was born July 11, 1960, at Amacuzac, Morelos, Mexico, the son of Jose Martinez Avila and Angelina Navidad Delgado. He was raised and educted in Amacuzac, Mexico where he attended schools. Following school he worked for a phone company for a short time before serving 4 years in the Mexican Army. Following his military service he worked as a guard for armored cars and as a health inspector in grocery stores. He was married to Concepcion Meza on April 11, 1982 in Amacuzac, Mexico. The couple came to the United States in 1989 where he worked in landscaping and construction in Houston, Texas. He moved to Blue Earth in 2004 where he worked for Fedders Seed Co. for 3 years. He was currently employed at the Albert Lea Seed House. Jose was proud to be a Christian and attended Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont. He loved being outdoors in nature and especially sharing good food with his friends and family at a BBQ. Jose is survived by his wife, Concepcion Martinez of Blue Earth, his son, Jose (Helen) Martinez, Jr. of Blue Earth, his daughter, Cinthya Martinez of Blue Earth, his daughter, Jenifer (Juan) Martinez Limon of Blue Earth, his daughter, Josselyn Martinez of Blue Earth, his son, Isaac Martinez of Blue Earth , his brothers: Onofre Martinez of Mexico, Feliciano Martinez of Mexico, Brigido Martinez-Ocampo of Mexico, Benito Martinez of Mexico, and his sisters, Maria Martinez of Mexico & Bertha Martinez of Texas, and his 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 infant brothers.
