Anne was born August 15, 1908, in Arcadia, Iowa, the daughter of Heman and Bertha (Tank) Rouse. She attended Lakefield and Jackson High Schools, graduating from Jackson High in 1926. She attended Mankato Teachers College and taught school in Vernon Center until 1935. She was married to Reuben Schaefer on June 1, 1935 in Norcross, MN. Anne was a homemaker and the couple farmed for many years 4 miles east of Blue Earth on the farm place next to the former Immanuel Methodist Church, where she was a longtime member. She was currently a member of Hope United Methodist Church. Anne was a former member of Farm Bureau, was a 4 H leader and attended the Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and spending time with her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Anne is survived by her son, Louis (Marilyn) Schaefer of Blue Earth, her daughter, Margaret Schwarz of Amboy, her son, Raymond (Nancy) Schaefer of Forsyth, Montana, 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Reuben in 1983, an infant son, Roger and two sisters.
