Don was born May 27, 1928, at Guckeen, MN, the son of John D. and Alice R. (Wilke) Hannaman. He was raised and educated in Guckeen where he worked for local farmers before moving to the Milwaukee, WI area as a teenager. He later returned to Minnesota where he was married to Sharron V. Blomgren on July 19, 1952 in Ivanhoe, MN. The couple lived in Minneapolis for a short time, later Don owned his own blacksmith shop in Lake Benton. They moved to Ft. Pierre, S.D. where Don worked construction and as a welder on the Oahe dam project. Upon completion of the dam project he helped build missile silos in South Dakota before relocating in Tucson, AZ in 1961 to build Titan missile silos there. He became a member of the Boilermakers Union 627 in Arizona where he worked on machinery in copper mining and was also a welder at nuclear power plants. He retired in 1992. In Tucson he was a member of the Aaron Masonic Lodge # 49, the Tucson East Elks Club #2532 and the Moose Lodge. In 1995 he returned to the rural Blue Earth area where he lived on a family farm. Don is survived by his wife, Sharron V. Hannaman of Blue Earth, his son, Donald (Kathy) Hannaman of Rosemount, MN, his daughter, Melanie Hannaman Ogden of Tucson, AZ, his son, Fredrick "Rick" (Debbie) Hannaman of Vail, AZ, his brother, Gordon (Gen) Hannaman of Melrose, MN, his half brother, Charles (Jill) Damerow of Bakersfield, CA, his half sister, Bonnie (Gerry) Bochinski of Osh Kosh, WI, his 5 grandchildren: Derek, Brandon & Daniel Hannaman, Katrina Ogden-Kanary, Lucas Ogden, and 4 great grandchildren: Hayley & Allyssah Hannaman, Katherine & Jack Kanary. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Thomas, son-in-law, Earl Ogden and half-brother, James Damerow.
