Walter S. Sapa

August 17, 1918 — November 28, 2009

Walter was born August 17, 1918, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Paul and Victoria (Pzytec) Sapa. The family moved to Frost when Walter was 12 years old where they farmed. Walter farmed and later served in the U.S. Army during WW II where he served in Iran and in France. He returned to Frost and was married to Margaret C. Johnson. The couple farmed between Frost and Blue Earth for many years. Walter was a longtime member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Blue Earth VFW Post 4580. He was known for his very large and productive vegetable gardens through the years. Walter is survived by his step daughter, Janet (Don) Steadman of Langley, Washington, his brother, John (Janit) Sapa of Blue Earth, his sister, Juanita (Raymond) Geerdes of Blue Earth, his sister, Della Sykes of Melbourne, Florida, his sister, Rose Finer of Apple Valley and 2 grandchildren . He was preceded in death by his parents, wife-Margaret in 2000, a brother, Thomas Sapa and a sister, Ann Hughes
