She was born May 6, 1921, at Haugesand, Norway, the daughter of Svend and Marie (Mikkleson) Bjornson.She came from Norway in 1923 where she was raised and educated in East Chain and Joice, Iowa. She worked as a nurses aide at Park Hospital in Mason City, Iowa before her marriage to Clifford Lee on November 8, 1942 in Joice, Iowa. Solveig was a homemaker and Cliff farmed. The couple settled on a farm in Pilot Grove Township in 1951. Solveig was blessed with four children and her greatest joy was her family. She was a member of Pilot Grove Lutheran Church. Later Cliff & Solveig were instrumental in building the Faith Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, where, for many years, she was involved with the church choir, Ladies aide, the Luther League and taught Sunday School. She always enjoyed singing, whether solos, quartets, duets with Cliff, or as part of a trio with her sisters.She also enjoyed raising flowers and hosting coffee gatherings with many friends and family.Solveig is survived by her husband, Cliff Lee of Winnebago, daughter, Sonja (& Terry) Peterson of East Chain, son, Phil (& Diane) Lee of LeSeuer, son, Tom (& Cindy) Lee of Virginia, MN, daughter, Linda (& Randy) Oldenburg of Lakeville, sister, Lillian Alne of Mason City, Iowa, sister, Ruth Levang of Des Moines, Iowa, Sister-in-law, Lois Bjornson of Forest City, Iowa, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Kjell Bjornson and a sister, LaVonne Pannkuk.
