Omer K. Murray

He was born June 11, 1912, at Dixon, Illinois, the son Frank Murray and Winifred Wadsworth. He then moved to Marna and attended a one room school and graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1929. Omer began working for the Standard Oil Co. in 1933. On December. 28, 1938 he married Una Clara Petersen in Clarks Grove, Mn. In 1950 they adopted a son Stephen, and in 1953 adopted a daughter Ona, both from the Children''s Home Society in St. Paul. Omer continued to work for Standard Oil until retiring in 1974. On April. 1, 2003 Una passed away from heart failure after 65 years of wonderful marriage.Omer will be greatly missed by his daughter, Ona Springer of Fairmont, his son, Stephen Murray of SanFrancisco, CA, his granddaughters, Stacy(Tim) Pytleski of Elmore, Laura(Trevor) Domek of Lonsdale, 2 great grandchildren, Logan & Kenlie Pytleski
