Ellen A. Risk

She was born June 26, 1918, at Hudson, South Dakota, the daughter of Gust and Anna (Odegaard) Ring.She was raised & educated in Hudson, SD where she was baptized and confirmed at the Lands Lutheran Church.In 1940 she was married to Alvin Bloomquist. She was later married to Merle Risk in 1970. She had worked as a nurses assistant at the Winnebago Baptist Home, now Parker Oaks, for many years and had provided daycare for several neighborhood children for several years. She has been recognized for her more than 25 years of volunteer service to St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth.Ellen survived by her son, Delmer Bloomquist of Blue Earth, her daughter, Sandra Boyd of Delavan, her son, Ronald Bloomquist of Taunton, her brother, Gordon Ring of Big Lake, her sister, Doris Clitty of Minneapolis, her 5 grandchildern, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and a granddaughter.
