He was born December 29, 1919, in Jackson, MN, the son of Leonard & Matilda (Vauble) Larson. He was raised and educated in the Trimont area where he attended District School # 55 and farmed with his father. He moved to Granada where he was married to Geneva Squire on September 25, 1940. The couple farmed in Granada before moving to Fairmont and later to Winnebago where Lloyd worked for the city at the waste water treatment plant. They came to Blue Earth in 1965 where Lloyd was the superintendent of the Blue Earth Waste Water Treatment Plant for 20 years before retiring. He was a longtime member of the River of Life Worship Center where he was active in church ministries. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, going south for the winter and camping, especially in the Smoky Mountains. Lloyd is survived by his son, Steven (Ann) Larson of Waynesboro, MS, his son, Keith (Margery) Larson of Blue Earth, his daughter, Virginia (Michael) Selvig of New Ulm, his son, Bruce (Janie) Larson of Marysville, TN his 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Geneva and two brothers, Clarence & Cecil Larson.
