Mr. Hagedorn, known as Pete, was born August 7, 1914 in Blue Earth where he was raised and attended public schools. In 1937 he married the former Elaine Mensing (deceased, March 5, 2006) and together they celebrated 67 anniversaries. For more than 50 years he managed the familys farm, located one mile West of Blue Earth on Highway 16.During retirement Mr. Hagedorn and his inseparable wife spent 30 winters in Mesa, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. His passions included walleye fishing in Northern Minnesota, card games, golf, Republican politics and socializing with family and his many friends. Mr. Hagedorn was a lifelong and active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Blue Earth as well as a devoted visiting member of Eternal Life Lutheran Church of Mesa, Arizona.Mr. Hagedorn was preceded in death by wife Elaine, his son Mark Hagedorn (deceased, 1968), Albert Hagedorn, his brother, and Alta Olson, his sister.Survivors include four children, Roger Hagedorn of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Richard Hagedorn of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Thomas Hagedorn of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Susan Wertjes of Broad Run, Virginia, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
