Mina was born May 21, 1919, at Bancroft, Iowa, the daughter of Ole and Gearadine (Boeckholt) Gerdis.She was raised and educated in the Bancroft and Ledyard, Iowa areas. She did housework and cleaning for area families before her marriage to Carl Johnson in 1939. Mina lived in several communities in the Amboy & Blue Earth areas over the years. She worked at Tony Downs meat processing plant in Medelia and later at Stokely-VanKamp in Winnebago. Following Carl''s death in 1967 she was later married to Alfred Ihle in 1969. Mina had worked for many years at Telex Communications in Blue Earth, retiring in the early 1980''s. She was married to Howard Loman in the early 1990''s. Mina enjoyed playing cards, bingo, many kinds of crafts and dancing.She is survived by her 7 children: Carol (& Frank) Hagg of Algona, IA, Vern (& Janice) Johnson of Hollister,MO., Pat (& Bob) Halverson of Blue Earth, Irv (& Jody) Johnson of Fairmont, Elaine (& Wayne) Patterson of Wittemore, IA, Marian (& Paul) Ziegler of Winnebago, Alan Johnson of Wells, a sister, Merna (& John) Karels of Winnebago, a sister, Margaret Westendorf of Mason City, IA, 54 grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, Carl Johnson & Alfred Ihle, a daughter-Linda Hall, infant daughter- Zelda, grandson-Paul Johnson and granddaughter-Nichelle Petersen.
