Winnie Fairchild

Winnie Lee Fairchild was born May 29, 1917 in Strong City, Oklahoma. She married Hiram W. Fairchild on August 23, 1938 in Garber, Oklahoma and lived in several communities before moving to Blue Earth, MN in 1953 where they lived for many years. In their later years they spent winters in Mesa, AZ, and following Hiram?s death in February, 1988 Winnie continued to live in Mesa until moving to Sioux Falls, SD in 1998.Due to ill health, Winnie moved to Avera Prince of Peace Retirement Home in June, 1999 where she spent her final years. Winnie was a woman of grace, always had a ready smile, and maintained her sense of humor despite her frail health. Left to cherish her memory are two sons and their wives, Tom and Kay Fairchild, Sioux Falls, SD and Chuck and Karen Fairchild, Blue Earth, MN, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren all of whom she adored.She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram; her parents; three brothers and four sisters.
