He was born July 16, 1932, at Easton, MN, the son of Mae Scott.Clayton was raised and educated in Winnebago where he graduated from Winnebago High School. He had worked as a heavy machinery operator with the Faribault Co. Highway Department for more than 35 years. He was married to Leona E. Reinke August 8, 1956 at St. John''s Lutheran Church, Elmore. Clayton served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a radio communications specialist. Following his service, he continued to operate trucks and pay loaders until his retirement in 1986. For many years he helped his brother-in-law farm the Reinke family farm southeast of Blue Earth. Clayton enjoyed fishing, camping and was know for the produce from his many vegetable gardens through the years.Clayton is survived by his daughter, Colleen (& husband David) Satre of Bricelyn, his son, Craig Pitcher of Omaha, Nebraska, his half brother, Dick Scott of Winnebago sister-in-law, Mary Reinke of Blue Earth, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Alvin & Dorothy Martin of the Twin Cities, nieces & nephews and three grandchildren: Bridget, Alesha and Ashlie Satre.He was preceded in death by his mother, his wife-Leona, and a brother-in-law, Wilfred Reinke.
