Abbie M. Woolson

Abbie was born June 22, 1915, at Winnebago, MN, the daughter of Charles and Lola (Van Ausdal) Woolson.She was raised and educated in the Garden City area, where she was a 1934 graduate of Garden City High School. She attended Mankato Commercial College following high school. Her family moved to Vernon Center where she lived for many years and attended the Grace United Methodist Church. She came to Blue Earth in 1942 where she worked as at several area businesses including the Post Publishing Company for over 25 years and for Telex for 10 years before retiring. She was a 50 plus year member of the First United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, where she was a member of the church choir and was an officer with the United Methodist Women. Abbie enjoyed poetry, music, flowers, reading, word puzzles, bird watching and the beauty of sunsets.Abbie is survived by a special niece- Lorraine Urban of Amboy and many other nieces & nephews. She is also survived by great nieces & nephews, great great nieces & nephews, great great great nieces & nephews and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers- Clarence & Merle Woolson and sisters- Ida Day, Nina Doolittle and Lula Conrad.
