Marian Rosetta (Anderson) Hanson died Friday, May 18, 2007 at the St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, MN at the age of eighty four (84) years, eight (8) months and twenty seven (27) days. Marian was born August 21, 1922 to Hugh and Rosetta (Russell) Anderson in Armstrong Iowa. She was one of nine (9) children and attended Country School in the Blue Earth area.Marian married Ronald William Hanson on December 9, 1939 following a two (2) year courtship. Ron went into the U.S. Army/Air Force from June 14, 1944-November 24, 1945 leaving Marian behind with three (3) small children. Over the years to follow they were blessed with five (5) more children and Marian was a very busy housewife! She now had eight (8) children, a home, and odd jobs to fill her days and evenings. At that time in her life Marian did various odd jobs out of her home that consisted of laundry, ironing, and mending. As the children got a little older, Marian did Domestic Engineer work (house cleaning) before retiring in 1995 to enjoy her children and grand children and to do the things she was not able to do while working.Marian loved doing crafty things which included: sewing, embroidering, painting on wood crafts and making the children and married grandchildren''s Christmas gifts yearly. She took pride in her crafty items andenjoyed every minute of labor put into making them. Marian''s love for God and her family were the most important things in her life. Marian resided at St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center the last six (6) months of her life where she enjoyed bingo, playing cards and visiting with the residents.She will be greatly missed by her 120 direct descendants. Marian is survived by her eight (8) children; Barbara (and the late Robert ) Tischer of Worthington, MN; Bill and Jeanette Hanson of Blue Earth, Joanne (and the late Rodger) Boettcher of Elmore, Nancy and Elwood Sahr of Bricelyn, Chuck Hanson of Apache Junction, AZ; Dennis and Traci Hanson of Elmore, Judy and Mike Bussinger of Blue Earth, and Becky and Bob Spencer also of Blue Earth. Besides her eight (8) children Marian was blessed with Thirty-one (31) Grandchildren, Fifty three (53) Great Grandchildren and Twenty eight (28) Great Great Grandchildren along with many other relatives and special friends.
