Norman F. Bell

He was born October 26, 1929, in Guckeen, the son of George and Helen (Ficken) Bell.Norman was raised and educated in the Guckeen area where he attended Guckeen District 29 school and later graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1947. Following school he returned to his family farm and was later married to Marian V. Schaal on June 4, 1950 in Blue Earth. The couple farmed all their married life just across the field from the Bell family home place. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth and enjoyed woodworking, following the Minnesota Twins and was an avid reader. He was also a regular the the Derby Morning Card Club. Norman is survived by his wife, Marian Bell of Blue Earth, his daughter, Dawn O''Hara & husband Jerry of Vancouver, Washington, his son, Bob (& Mary) Bell of Blue Earth, , his brother, Donald (& Vernette) Bell of Blue Earth, his brother, Raymond (& Patricia) Bell of Blue Earth, his sister, Marion Bell of Blue Earth, his sister, Irma Haugh of Easton, his 5 grandchildren: Kelly, Ryan, Megan, Joe, & Adam and his 3 great grandchildren, Logan, Peyton and, Joe, Jr.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law: Ray Haugh.
