Alice was born December 27, 1910, on the family farm in Emerald Township, Frost , MN the daughter of Randolph C. and Hansina (Johnson) Thompson. She was baptized on January 28, 1911 by Rev. Okerlund in Frost. When she was 6 years old her mother died and then she made her home with her aunt and uncle Mr. & Mrs. Gullich Frandle. When her father re-married the family moved to Albert Lea. She was confirmed on May 23, 1926 at the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. She attended public school there and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1929. She also attended Albert Lea Business College and, upon completion of the courses there in bookkeeping and accounting, entered into the business world. Her parents then returned to the farm at Frost and she began working for the Faribault County Cooperative Electric Association from July 5, 1937 through December 1964. She worked at the Faribault County Assessors Office for a year and then began work at the Blue Earth Farmers Elevator from July 1966 through December 1984, when she retired.Alice has been a lifetime member of the Emerald Lutheran and United Lutheran Churches in Frost. She was also a member of the United WELCA, a church circle, and took part in many of the activities of the church. She is survived by a nephew- Don (& Ginger) Erickson of Minnetonka, many great nieces & nephews and several cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her step-mother and nieces & nephews.
